Powerful quake shakes Mexico, at least two dead

Feds order Anderson Reservoir to be drained

Anderson Reservoir sits behind a 250-foot man-made dam between Morgan Hill and San Jose and is instrumental in the South Bay’s water supply. It holds enough water for tens of thousands of people. 

Early morning quake near Gilroy

A 3.3 magnitude earthquake hit an area approximately 9 miles southwest of Gilroy in San Benito County early Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.
